So we all know LEGO is great. Top notch hobby (pff not a toy). We all know Star Wars is great. Top notch movies (original trilogy). So from logic (and experience) LEGO Star Wars is even greater. Ok lets think a little more advanced. The Millennium Falcon is also great. Top notch space vehicle (it’ll outrun any Imperial!). So with some higher level deduction, we can conclude the Millennium Falcon LEGO Star Wars set is greaterer. This formula is no mystery to The Lego Group as they have already made two Millennium Falcon system sets. But can there be something even greatererer?? Is there a greatest of them all? Too my horror (and rejoice), TLG is now making the Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon LEGO Star Wars set. You heard me right. The ultimate Ultimate Collectors. It’s a beauty. Over 5000 pieces! Almost three feet long and two feet wide. Actually to scale to minifigs! (my princess leia needs a new home) This makes their 3000+ piece UCS Imperial Star Destroy (proud owner of one) look like a DUPLO set.

So in conclusion: Star Wars + LEGO + Millennium Falcon + Ultimate Collectors = Greatererer =? Greatest.

Oh yea. it’s $500.

Eh. So Greatest – $500 != Greatest. But still freaking great. Just a notch below Greatest. I can wait for a 50% off sale haha. But I digress. As I carefully explained to my officemate who just bought a PS3…It’s cheaper than a PS3 and it’s better than a PS3. It’s great.

You know, that racing game where you race through traffic-filled cities all over the world? Well, I think I’ve just found their inspiration.

On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit.

The video by itself is crazy. But while it isn’t new, the Google Maps/Video mashup of it at bhendrix.com is. Watch the video while an animated Google map maps out the Ferrari’s route through Paris. Awesomes.

The picture on the left is Keira’s UK promotional material for her 2004 movie King Arthur. The right, from the US promotional material. Apparently here in the US, we don’t approve of flat chests. It doesn’t matter that Keira is an exceptionally hot actress, A cups don’t sell shit here.

Keira’s, as well as many other actresses/models’ breasts, are often digitally enhanced to be bustier and “sexier.” Keira claims magazine publishers in the US ban stars from appearing on their front covers unless they have at least a C-cup size, or are willing to be digitally enhanced to make it appear as if they have.

Oh what a world we live in. (Click on the picture for full-sized digital mammary image)

For all of you horror movie junkies out there, it looks like the Omen might be coming true:

A baby was born on June 6, 2006 in Bristol, England. The newborn boy was named Damien by horror movie fan, Suzanne Cooper. Suzanne was rushed to the hospital on May 31st after suffering back pains. Doctors decided to induce labor immediately. Damien refused to come out, but finally did 6 days later on June 6th. He was born shortly after 6am and weighed in at 6lbs and 6ounces. I’m not making this up!

I’m not really sure what scares me more: the amazing coincidences that led to this birth, or the fact that the couple is using those cicrumstances to foster the story of the birth of the Antichrist.

Freaks.

In a daring and innovative move, Warner Brothers is making yet another sequel in yet another movie franchise they’ve already killed with a previous sequel. The Matrix Trilogy anyone? The Back to the Future Trilogy? Groan.

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, sexy Brad Pitt and distinguished George Clooney will once again grace the big screen together in Ocean’s 13. Now, come on, that doesn’t even make sense. Ocean’s THIRTEEN?!? See, now Ocean’s 11 made sense: there were eleven people in the crew, and it was a remake of a 1960 movie of the same name. Then Ocean’s 12 came along. Someone please refresh my memory, because I don’t remember another person being added on to the crew. Did Julia Roberts count as a member of the crew this time? Perhaps. Fine, we’ll give that to you. But Ocean’s 13?! Are they going to add yet another crew member just so their “clever” marketing gimmicks work?

I wonder what’s going to happen when it comes time for Ocean’s 42. They’ll have to spend the whole movie just introducing us to each member of the crew.

Read Article [News24]

And to kick off this blog, a few humble words From V for Vendetta:

Voilà ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à -vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
