Project Runway’s venerable Tim Gunn has announced in yesterday morning’s Page Six that he will be resigning from The New School’s Parsons School of Design to become Liz Claiborne’s new chief creative officer. Congratulations Tim Gunn! You can now carry on that legacy of yours to Claiborne.

But this new turn of events brings up the burning question: What’s going to happen to Project Runway? There have been rumors that Gunn has delayed signing on to the next season of Project Runway, and this seems to be the reason why. PR just won’t be the same without good old Tim.

I don’t know what you’re planning Mr. Gunn. But you better make it work.

FROM: Tim Gunn, Chair

DATE: February 1, 2007

SUBJECT: Leadership Transition
This memorandum is very difficult for me to write, because my heart and
soul reside at Parsons and the University and, more specifically, with
all of you in the Department of Fashion Design. The achievements that
we have realized together since the time of my arrival in the Department
in September 2000 are phenomenal and we should all feel very proud. I
have had every reason to assume that we would be together for a very
long time. However, an opportunity has presented itself that I would be
foolish to turn down. I have been offered the position of Chief
Creative Officer of Liz Claiborne, Inc., and I have accepted that
position. In this new role, I will work with the 350 designers who
create product for each of the company’s 40+ brands. I will serve as
a mentor, advisor, teacher, and advocate. It’s very exciting for me
and it is also a welcome new challenge.

I want to emphasize that my work with you has been and continues to be
exciting and challenging. You students never cease to amaze me:
you’re intelligent, exceedingly talented, and you’re fearless,
qualities that ensure a metaphorical creative combustion! You faculty
are our academic leaders: you nurture, inspire, and give
unconditionally and selflessly to our community. Our work together is
the source of my greatest professional pride.

I want to assure all of you that my departure will in no way harm the
Department. Yes, there will be a period of transition in the
administration, but every measure will be put in place to ensure that
the highest quality education continues to be delivered. Towards this
mandate, I am working closely with the Office of the Dean and the
Department’s administration and full-time faculty. I have every
confidence that there will be no disruptions to your academic
environment.

I also want to assure you that I’m not abandoning you! I continue my
commitment to the students in my class, I plan to fully participate in
the senior year thesis review, and I also plan to host the Parsons
Benefit and Fashion Show. Discussions are underway about how I can
continue to be active with Parsons, the University, and the Department
of Fashion Design. Furthermore, in my new role at Liz Claiborne, Inc.,
I will be actively and enthusiastically recruiting Parsons graduates.

Next Tuesday, February 6 at noon, I will hold an open meeting to
respond to your questions and to any concerns that you may have. All of
you are invited to attend.

Let’s read it shall we?

Subject: The way of the future-Howard Hughes once said. I am willing to release a politically/morally correct, fully adequite letter to the press if any of you are willing to help. Simply to state my oppinions on how our society should be educated on for the better of our country. Our people. Also because I have such an impact on our younger generations, as well as generations older than me. Which we all know and can obviously see. People are just mean. I am going to proceed with putting LR to court if need be for what she’s done to me. Its my life. I want to live it. People cannot lie and think that it is okay to continue on having done so. Simply because they will do it again to someone else, and that is not alright with me. I have had many ups and downs, as do we all.

But to make false accusations to one girl is unjust in my oppinion. Having said this, I am willing to do anything I need to get my life the way it should be and the way I work for it to be.. And have thus far in my career. Let’s sue the tabloids for saying the things they say. Defamation of character. Amongst other illegal accusations, I will repeat this over and over to make my point. I am not fully aware of what these, again, accusations are, but I am fully and eagerly prepared to learn them. Have harvey and all lawyers help me please. If he is willing. Al Gore will help me he came up to me last night and said he would be very happy to have a conversation with me. If he is willing to help me, let’s find out. Hilary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and Evan metroplis, and John Daur who works with them would be willing, if we just ask. If we just ASK. I’d really like to fix things and refuse to stop on any account for these unintelligent, vulgar people who like to hurt other people. Not just me, but everyone. I’m willing to hold a press conference and I will do anything necessary to do so. In putting an end to ‘these people’ trying to put an end to me and belittle me as well as try to be the demise of me after all I’ve gone through and done at such a young and tender age in a womans life. Its enough already, I’ve had enough and I am going to be the one to make a change. For all of my fellow actors, friends, people I admire and for those I’ve lost in the recent days, years, months. I do believe the focus in the world has misplaced and directed in the wrong directions and I am willing to be the one to help change that and use my celebrity status to move the focalpoint /(s) of the press to the real issues that we have going on as we speak. Anyone that is willing to help and has a family member or friend, even co-worker that is in a position to be involved in any way, shape or form, please contact me, Jenni Muro, Leslie Sloane, Michael Heller, Jason Sloane, Jason Weinberg as soon as you can or are willing. Does this dumb, blank stare look familiar to you? Yep. It’s O.J. again. And you thought you’d never see that loveable mug of his again. In a new TV interview and book, Orenthal James Simpson discusses how he would have committed the murders of his ex-wife and her friend. You know, if he did it.

“O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes,” the network said in a statement. “In the two-part event, Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade.”

Apparently, he isn’t content with just getting away with murder. He needs to profit off of it too. GG OJ. You’re our douchebag of the year.

The two-part television interview, titled “O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here’s How It Happened,” will air November 27 and November 29 on Fox and his book, “If I Did It,” goes on sale on November 30.

Little Suri Cruise entered the world on Tuesday, April 18, 2006. Less than a day old, the media had already given her a nickname: TomKitten. Clever. But as for her real name, Suri, the press release touted it as meaning “princess” in Hebrew and “red rose” in Persian. How endearing.

Cue ominous music.

A day later, reports started coming in that Suri was not a Hebrew name at all. Sure, they got the Persian part right, but it’s also a Hindu name meaning “Lord Krishna.” The prized heir to the Scientology crown adopting a name of a Hindu God? Uh oh. I hope this unintentional booboo doesn’t cause an all-out religion war. Oh wait, silly me, that would never happen: Scientology isn’t a real religion.

But wait! There’s more! As the week progressed, more startling information was released regarding little Suri’s precious little name. It seems the name, Suri Cruise, bears a bit of a resemblance to a place very near and dear to her daddy’s heart.

Aha! Tom and Katie weren’t trying to be culturally diverse. Neither were they trying to start a holy war. ‘Suri Cruise’ is just the result of a proud man giving a shoutout to his old stomping grounds.

It looks like Katie Holmes put her fake belly on all wrong this morning. I hope she fixed it before all the other paparrazi got to snap a pic. Who knew that faking pregnancy was also one of those silly tenets of Scientology? It looks like it’ll be a quiet pregnancy after all; shouldn’t be too hard to give birth to nothing.

Heh, I’m just kidding. I’m sure this image is the result of light reflections and a weird camera angle. But it’s funny. So laugh.

Here at WDS, we strive for the truth, and nothing but. That being said, this latest article comes from the NY Daily News via the paragon of truth itself: Star Magazine. (So take it with a grain of salt).

Tom Cruise, being the mundanely normal guy that he is, has added even more banality to his public life. Star Magazine reports that in keeping with the tenets of Scientology, he is having an adult pacifier made for Katie.

“He commissioned an adult-sized ‘binky’ for her to clench between her teeth, hoping that it’ll squelch her screams,” a source tells the mag. “In keeping with a Scientology silent birth, Tom is prepared to do whatever it takes to muffle Katie’s moans and groans during the delivery.”

Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who died in 1986, discouraged painkillers during delivery and preached that birth should be silent to “save both the sanity of the mother and the child and safeguard the home to which they will go.” The Scientology.org Web site explains: “Having a quiet, gentle birth is all about providing the best possible environment for the birthing mother and her new baby.”

Scientology just gets better and better.

Oh Joey, whatever happened to you? If you only stuck with Pacey and/or Dawson, you could have a birth like a normal person.
