The 2006 Emmy Awards

EmmyI actually didn’t watch the Emmy’s this year so this morning when I came in to work, I wanted to see if my favorite shows had won.

First I went to CNN.com. After a quick scan across the page, I find an Emmy article. Score. I click the link and get this: a way-too-long narrative about the Emmy’s. That’s no good. I don’t have the patience to read through all of that. Then I tried Gothamist. It seems they have a liveblog. That’s even longer. I’m definitely not that interested.

Exasperated after 3 minutes of quick clicking and scanning, I went to my old pal Google: “list 2006 emmy winners.” What the hell. All I see are narratives and the Creative Emmy’s lists. Come on.

With nowhere else to turn, I checked Wikipedia. It took about 3 clicks, but I finally found the damn list. To save you all this trouble, the full list is available after the jump.

Now here are my two cents on the 2006 Emmy’s:

  • I’m sad I missed Conan’s monologue. I’m also sad I missed Tim Gunn’s pre-show runway segments. I’m going to have to Youtube that later.
  • I wish you had won: Grey’s Anatomy, Scrubs, Project Runway, and either Sandra Oh or Chandra Wilson for Best Supporting Actress.
  • I’m glad you did win: High School Musical, Keifer Sutherland, Jeremy Piven, and Megan Mullaly.
