Weeds premieres tonight!

Don’t forget! The second season premiere of Showtime’s hit dramedy Weeds airs tonight at 10 pm EST. I’m excited; mostly because the summer is dry as a motheruffer for us TV junkies, and I’m desperate for anything to watch, but also because Weeds is a damn good show. Mary-Louise Parker, last year’s Golden Globe winner for Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy, beat out all those Desperate Housewives chicks, so you know she’s got something (I mean, aside from the marijuana).

If you’re still not convinced to tune in tonight, here’s the premise of the show:

…a single-camera comedy about a single mother who makes ends meet by selling marijuana in the fictional suburb of Agrestic, California. The series exposes the dirty little secrets that lie behind the pristine lawns and shiny closed doors of homes in the of this gated community. Mary Louise Parker stars as the suburban mom who resorts to selling weed to support her family after her husband unexpectedly dies. [via]
