World’s most expensive sandwich
Meet the most expensive sandwich in the world. Called The McDonald (no relation to Ronald), it contains “rare Wagyu beef, the finest, fresh duck foie gras, black truffle mayonnaise, brie de meaux, rocket, red pepper and mustard confit with English plum tomatoes in a sour dough bread.” It costs £85 (approx. $149).
I have a few editorial comments to make about said sandwich:
- I can make a sandwich out of bologna and cheese, charge $151 and claim it is the most expensive sandwich in the world. That title means nothing.
- Who the hell would pay $149 for a sandwich. I can get a $1 chicken sandwich off the dollar menu at the other McDonalds. Sure, it won’t be made out of the finest ingredients on earth, but I’ll use the other $148 and get an iPod Nano on the side. I think that’ll make up for it.
- What the hell is “rocket?” Animal, vegetable or mineral?
