Love Monkey On VH1

Walking through the city, I still see buses with the Love Monkey poster sitting idly on the front. It was almost as if CBS and the MTA were working together to rub-in the fact that the excellent (but overlooked) show Love Monkey was no longer on the air. After 3 episodes in a crappy time slot with no good lead-in show, and against Law and Order, how could you expect a pilot to shine? I guess the underappreciated show was ahead of its time. It appears the world was not ready for a show featuring a grup.

All is not lost however, VH1 has picked up the series and will air it in its entirety (the original order of eight episodes). The three episodes that aired on CBS will in January run in a block starting at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday, April 11. The five previously unseen episodes will begin the following week, airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Now I can watch the episode that my coworker had a part in.

Chances for a second season are slim to none seeing as Tom Cavanagh has already signed on to do another pilot with CBS. How could you Tom, after what they did to you with Love Monkey?
