All-Nighter for Apartment
Stephenson Brown arrived at 4 p.m. on a recent Saturday afternoon for the building’s Sunday afternoon open house. He spent the night on the lobby floor, wrapped in an electric blanket that he’d brought.
Brown, who had viewed units in the building at a previous open house, was greeted at noon Sunday by a sales agent, who promptly took his check. For his efforts, Brown, 23, scored a 900-square-foot one-bedroom for $625,000.
Now that’s interesting, because every other 23 year old I know lines up for $400 video game systems, $100 show tickets, and $50 concert tickets. The only thing I think I’ll be lining up for in the near future, is a $10 meal at the Shake Shack.
But I guess if I had a $625,000 check burning a hole in my pocket, I’d line up for an apartment too.
