Stupid lawsuits
Poor Apple. With every great business plan and product comes a frivolous lawsuit. Most of you have heard about this by now, but if you haven’t, here’s the lowdown: A man from Louisiana is suing Apple, complaining that iPods can cause hearing loss. Sounds like that guy who sued McDonald’s because he spilled their “too hot” coffee on himself. The most amazing thing is that the plaintiff hasn’t even experienced any hearing loss, caused by the iPod or otherwise. Geniuses. Maybe I should sue KFC because their chicken will make me fat. Who’s with me? We can get a class action tort on the Colonel.
Apple, not being one to quibble with playground nonsense, released software for the iPod Nano and iPod Video today which allows the user to limit volume settings on their device. Parents can even set a max volume on their child’s iPod unlockable with a code. Yet another complete waste of time and energy caused by idiocy.
Looks like there’s no pot of gold under the rainbow for you, Mr. Louisiana. Maybe you can try that leprechaun in Alabama.
